For those who live at great distances or overseas, correspondence course can be provided either in Japanese or English.

The correspondence course covers the content of 4 day seminar. The metabolic differences in animals are the main topics of our course. And you will learn why cats cannot metabolize EO components precisely. We will provide you the information why feline species cannot tolerate EOs from the view point of genetic defect of the Liver Phase II enzyme, especially. It has been revealed where the genetid defect is in the mRNA of the specific enzyme.  There is also gender difference due to the Liver Phase I CYP enzymatic properties.

Outline of the English Correspondence Course:

The course will consist of an overview of important topics to cover safe aromatherapy for companion animals. Subjects include history of aromatherapy in humans and animals, scientifically proven parmacological effects of essential oils, metabolization difference of essential oil components among animal species , adverse reaction of essential oils in animals, animal aromatherapy technique depending on symptoms, some important tips on aromatherapy chemistry, behind the scene facts of aromatherapy business and petfood industry.

1) History of Aromatherapy

You will get information why medical aromatherapy was not established in France. There are so many errors in the current history of aromatherapy in humans or in animals in the world. The current history you learned will be proven to be incorrect.

2) Pharmacological Effects of Essential Oils:

Sedative effect:We will provide you information what is happening in the Central Nerve System.

Anti-inglammatory effect:The information why EOs work like corticosteroid will be covered.

Anti-microbial property:Because EOs are volatile substances, it is very difficult to determine the microbial activity of an EO. The information of an ideal method to determine the activity will be covered with a scientific reference.

3) Antipruritic property:The reason why itchy sensation can be alleviated with some EOs will be covered scientifically.

4) Animal Physiology & Metabolization of EO components
